Variations
A small AI model has learned from my pictures how line, figure and pattern go together. It runs in your browser and invents a new figure panel with every click. Beside it, as in my pictures, stands the mirror: only the pattern.
What is this?
A small AI model that knows only my paintings: Narcissistic Ornaments, Heads, Sistine and Inclusinature. From the photographs of the pictures we removed wall, light and frame. What remained are the forms I paint with: the black line, the area of the figure and the coloured pattern, the garment. The model learned only from the figure panels, not from the mirrors.
The model starts from noise and shapes a new figure panel from it step by step. At every step it sees what it has painted so far and refines it. You can watch the picture emerge. It was trained on a Mac, not in a data-centre cloud.
The page does the rest by my rules: the line below, the pattern on top, beside it the mirror, which shows only the dress, and the line that runs through all panels. The model runs entirely in your browser. Every picture is marked as an AI variation, also when you save it. I have agreed to this.
